Silly Little Buggers

There are so many animals here that we don't know, that we had to get some books. Kellie helps me look up each one in the field guide to find out important information like if we can touch them, if they are friendly, what food they eat, and their habits.

Swimming, Hopping, and Racing

And on that farm he had some...Creepy Crawly Wigglies!

A partial list of other small animals that have found us on the farm!

4/22: A long black racer snake at the river edge. Racer snakes are not dangerous and Kellie made a snake-stick to try and get a closer look at one
4/23: Kellie caught two fishes in a basket and made a little jar aquarium to watch them grow
4/24: Candace taught us how to use the minnow traps and we caught (and released) us some tadpoles
4/25: Papa held a toad

4/26: Earthworm (but Phineas wont hold it yet! We are still getting used to living so close to the silly little buggers!)
4/27: Kellie found a lizard without its tail and put it in a box for me to see! Lizards can shed their tails whenever they want, for protection to get away from bigger animals.

Welcome to the farm!

Huckleberry Phineas had a farm,
E-I-E-I-O! And on that farm he had some BUGS!

"Smile Bug"

Here is a partial list of bugs that have found us on the farm:
4/20: A slow lazy wasp family is living in our bedroom
4/21: We moved a ladybug from the bathroom to the tree outside our window
4/22: Big bungling carpenter bees are everywhere
4/23: A "click beetle" was singin' on the porch. Kellie tried to make him do a flip-over trick, but he just walked away. Click beetles have big fake eyes on their backs
4/24" The spiders are getting ready to have their babies
4/25: We followed a yellow butterfly into the woods
